Pyromellitic dianhydride, referred to as pyromellitic dianhydride for short, the pure product is white or yellowish crystal. Exposure to humid air will quickly absorb water in the air and hydrolyze to pyromellitic acid. Soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethyl formamide, acetone and other organic solvents, insoluble in ether, chloroform and benzene. It is mainly used as raw material of polyimide, curing matting agent of epoxy resin and crosslinking agent of polyester resin.

Uses of PMDA Pyromellitic Dianhydride CAS 89-32-7
This product is mainly used as raw material of polyimide, curing matting agent of epoxy resin and crosslinking agent of polyester resin. It is used for manufacturing polyimide film, polyimide resin, powder coating, matting agent and advanced electrical insulation materials. It is used to make polyimide resin, high temperature resistant electric insulating paint, PVC plasticizer, synthetic resin crosslinking agent and epoxy resin curing agent, as well as phthalocyanine blue dye.
